Il Centro Ittico Valdastico è un impianto che sorge lungo il corso del fiume Astico, nel vicentino ed è uno dei pochi centri riconosciuto indenne dalle principali malattie virali dei salmonidi. Si occupa prevalentemente dell’allevamento di specie da ripopolamento destinate al rilascio nelle acque pubbliche. Il Centro ha avviato un progetto per il recupero e la salvaguardia della trota marmorata, la cui distribuzione è limitata ai bacini idrografici alto adriatici ed è attualmente una specie a rischio di scomparsa.

COME RAGGIUNGERCI
Si percorre tutta l’A31 “Valdastico” in direzione nord sino a Piovene Rocchette (fine autostrada). Si imbocca la S.S. 350 in direzione di Trento per circa 14 km. Giunti a Pedescala si gira a sinistra in direzione S. Pietro. Dopo circa 2 km si arriva all’impianto ittico.

This facility is located along the river Astico, in the Province of Vicenza. It is one of the few freshwater aquaculture centres free from viral diseases of Salmonids. Its main focus is the restocking of rivers. The Centre is involved in a project for the preservation of the marble trout (Salmo marmoratus), an endemic and endangered specie of the northern Adriatic area.
